“Learning by doing” is the buzzword of today’s learners. Hence subject enrichment activities are designed to motivate the learners to do integrated projects which help them to connect the various subjects to real life applications.

a) Self-defence

“Self-defense is not only our right; it is our duty”

– Ronald Reagan

Being able to protect oneself in all situations is a confidence booster as much as it is a reassurance. A reassurance that can only be gained through any form of self defense classes. Our Children of all grades are trained in atleast one form of martial arts to equip them to face the dark challenges that may lurk around any corner . Currently Karate is being taught by expert trainers.

b) Interpersonal communication skills

“The art of communication is the language of leadership”

Our school stirves to inculcate the quality of leadership in each child. To become a good leader one should master the art of coomunication. Experts in the field of personality developement and communication skills are invited to talk to our children.

c) Value education

“ Literary education is of no value, if it is not able to build up a sound character”

-Mahatma Gandhi

Character building starts right from the day of birth and our school has taken value education as one of the subjects at par with other academic subjects. Resources are stocked in library too where children can read moral stories and autobiographies to build themselves into good citizens.

Students are made to do atleast one form of work skills. Wealth out of waste(WOW) programs are regularly conducted to recycle and reduce the waste materials. Also art and crafts such as pottery painting, jewelry making are being taught to the children. Apart from this children are taught basic sewing skills.

The asthetic sense of the students are developed through

  • dramatics.
  • music.
  • painting.
  • drawing.
  • photography.
  • dance.

Extra curricular activities are planned and executed through expertised coaches in each field. Good physical and mental balance is enhanced through various activities like

  • Yoga.
  • Karate.
  • Western dance.
  • Skating.

“ A sound mind in a sound body”

To go with the saying physical education is imparted to the students based on a age appropriate curriculum. Children are trained for a wide range of sports like football, basketball, handball, table tennis, badminton, field events etc. Based on the specific interests of the learner specialized training is imparted in either an individual or team games.

“The true aim of everyone who aspires to be a teacher should be, not to impart his own opinions, but to inspire minds”

-Frederick W.Robertson
